I have a lot of experience in working with young people - as Head of Drama at a girl's independent school for 12 years and in one-to-one coaching since.  I have worked with them in developing their performance abilities, perhaps preparing for a particular performance or audition, or in anticipation of entrance to Drama School.

Please go to www.qn-actingcoach.com for specific help with Drama School audition and examination preparation.

I also teach children and young people who also have wider issues of confidence and self-esteem.  How to 'perform' in the real world, not on a stage.  I have worked with children with autism and other learning difficulties and special needs, as well as those who are just shy and lack confidence.

My main focus is on helping these young people 'find their voice', developing their presence and sense of place, being grounded, feeling comfortable in the way they stand and move and breathe and speak.  I work with them to identify the ways in which they 'use' their bodies and their voice that are contributing to their lack of confidence and difficulties relating to others.  And then we learn and practice more effective skills, including drama techniques and roleplay.  Working with drama not only helps improve speaking and presentation, but can also help children to develop self-confidence and express their imagination, personalities and creativity.

(I am CRB checked).
